How does Crack Fill Equipment Work?
The asphalt crack sealing equipment uses a diesel burner to heat thermal oil. The hot oil circulates inside a double-wall jacket around the melting tank, transferring heat to the sealing material without direct flame contact. This prevents burning or aging of the material. Once the filler reaches working temperature (usually 180 200°C), a hydraulic pump or asphalt pump pushes it through a heated hose to the applicator wand. The operator guides the wand along the crack, and material flows out under pressure. That pressure pushes the filler deep into the crack and bonds tightly to the sidewalls.
A small generator powers the temperature controller, the pump, and the electric heating wire inside the hose. That heating wire keeps the material fluid all the way to the nozzle. Without it, the filler would cool and solidify inside the hose within minutes.
