A paper tea cup making machine is a piece of automated equipment that converts PE-coated paper rolls into finished tea cups. It is widely used in beverage shops, coffee stands, catering businesses, and office pantries. The machine handles feeding, side sealing, bottom punching, knurling, and curling in one cycle. The cups are leak-proof, heat-resistant, and uniform. If you need a reliable machine for your beverage cup business, YG Machinery offers custom solutions based on your cup size and output needs. How a Paper Cup Manufacturing Machine Works?

Step one: paper feeding and side sealing
The machine pulls the paper forward and wraps it around a mandrel. The side overlap is sealed by either a heated copper bar or an ultrasonic system. Ultrasonic sealing produces a cleaner seam without burning the paper edge.
Step two: bottom punching and knurling
A separate roll of paper feeds into the bottom punching station. A die cuts a circular disk. The disk is inserted into the preformed cup body. The machine then applies heat and pressure to bond the bottom disk to the cup wall. Knurling wheels create a tight mechanical lock.
Step three: curling and rim forming
The top edge of the cup passes through a curling station. A heated roller rolls the edge into a smooth, round rim. This rim adds strength and makes drinking comfortable.
Step four: counting and collection
Finished cups drop onto a conveyor. A photoelectric sensor counts each cup. When the preset number is reached, the collection gate opens and stacks the cups for packing. Modern machines include a fault alarm and automatic stop if paper jams or seals fail.
Why Choose a Paper Cup Machine for Sale from YG?

1. Durable steel frame
The main body uses thick steel plates. Vibration is minimal even at top speed. The paper tea cup making machine runs steadily for eight to ten hours a day. Wear and tear are low. You will not need frequent repairs.
2. Simple control panel
Operators learn the basic operations in half a day. A touch screen displays production count, speed, and alarm messages. Parameter adjustment takes less than two minutes. No engineering degree is required. Most workers feel comfortable after one shift.
3. Energy-efficient design
The heating system only activates during sealing cycles. Idle consumption is nearly zero. A 5 kW model consumes roughly 4 kWh per hour under normal operation. This saves money on electricity. Over a year, the savings can cover a large part of your labor costs.
4. Easy mold change
Changing from an 8 oz cup to a 12 oz cup requires swapping three parts: the mandrel, the bottom punch die, and the curling ring. The whole process takes under 15 minutes. No special tools are needed. You can switch between different cup sizes several times a day without losing production.
5. Safety features
Emergency stop buttons are placed at both feeding and discharging ends. A protective cover prevents accidental contact with moving parts. The ultrasonic version has no exposed heating element, reducing burn risk.
Application Areas for a Paper Tea Cup Making Machine
- Tea shops and bubble tea chains: These businesses use hundreds or thousands of cups daily. Having their own machine ensures they never run out during peak hours. They can also print their logo on each cup.
- Coffee kiosks and bakeries: Small 4 oz and 6 oz cups are perfect for espresso shots and sample servings. The machine can produce double-wall cups. Hot coffee stays comfortable to hold.
- Catering companies and food trucks: Events demand large quantities of cups in a short time. On-site production solves last-minute shortages. Different colors can be used for different drinks.
- Hotels and office buildings: A mid-size hotel with 200 rooms may need 500 to 800 cups per day. In-house production cuts supply costs by up to 40 percent. Offices appreciate the convenience of making cups on demand.
- Retail packaging and sample cup promotions: Supermarkets and food brands use small cups for nuts, candies, or dried fruit samples. The same machine also makes cup-shaped containers for ice cream and yogurt.
